She subsequently returned to Malaysia for her housemanship and early training. She was fast tracked into the lecturer programme and Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery in UKM, Malaysia followed by a 1.5 year Fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the prestigious Kleinert Institute, Louisville, Kentucky, USA in 2010.
