Dr. Hazlita Dato’ Mohd. Isa sub-specializes in Medical Retina (diabetic eye diseases, age-related macular degenerations, retina vascular occlusion, etc) and Uveitis (ocular inflammation) as well as manages general eye problems such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes, contact lens-related eye diseases, lid lesions, refractive errors, etc.

Dr. Hazlita graduated medicine (MBChB) from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK, and subsequently obtained a Doctorate of Ophthalmology (DrOph) at University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Malaysia. Thereafter she completed a Ph.D. in Ophthalmology at the University College London (UCL), UK as well as a fellowship in Uveitis and Medical Retina at the prestigious Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, UK. Dr. Hazlita is also a member of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (AM Mal) and has been listed on the Malaysia Nasional Specialist Register (Ophthalmology) since 2013. She is certified as a Uveitis and Medical Retina sub-specialist by the Malaysian Ministry of Health.

Previously as an Associate Professor and Consultant Ophthalmologist at the UKM Medical Centre (UKMMC), Kuala Lumpur and Head of the Uveitis and Medical retina unit in the Ophthalmology Department UKMMC, Dr. Hazlita has taught and mentored medical students and many young ophthalmologists who are now currently serving the nation. Dr. Hazlita is also regularly invited as a speaker at various international and local ophthalmology conferences and has also published numerous articles in both local and international journals. Apart from her deep passion for eye and patient care, Dr. Hazlita is also an ardent advocator for Autism awareness.
