Dr. Haitham Sawalmeh

Dr. Haitham Sawalmeh has over 12 years of experience in the field of general and laparoscopic, bariatric, colorectal and trauma surgeries. He graduated with Jordanian board in General Surgery. Started working in Rashid Hospital in 2012. He is vastly experienced in many open and laparoscopic elective and emergency cases including bariatric surgeries, explorative laparotomies, bowel resection and anastomosis, Hartmann's procedure, diagnostic laparoscopy, laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and minor surgical procedures.

Dr. Haitham has been a member of the gastro-surgical oncology team and has been involved in the creation of workflows and protocols to deliver patient-centric services. As part of the Proctology team, he gained expertise in the management of anal conditions including hemorrhoidectomy, THD, Fistulectomy, Fistula Laser Closure (FiLaC) and Sphincterotomy.

Dr. Haitham assists in the training of residents to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care, he has also been a supervisor to residents in the preparation of surgical oncology cases for multidisciplinary meetings.
