Dr. Luis Madero was born in Madrid. He obtained his medical degree at Complutense University of Madrid, graduating with distinction. He specialized in Pediatrics in 1981 and he obtained his PhD with honors (“cum laude”) in 1985, with the thesis entitled “Pediatric Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma”. He is a specialist in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, becoming certified by the Spanish Pediatric Society (AEP) in 1988.

Dr. Luis is the Head of the Children's Onco-Hematology service of the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital and the Niño Jesús Hospital in Madrid. He is also a professor of Pediatrics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Doctor of Medicine from the Complutense University.
His academic and teaching activities derive from his position as full professor of the Pediatrics Department at Autonoma University of Madrid. Last, Dr. Madero develops his research projects as lead investigator at Children’s University Hospital “Niño Jesús” and at Research Institute “La Princesa”.
