About the Doctor / Professional
Dr. Paul Selvindoss graduated with honours from Mangalore University on 1993. He proceeded to do his surgical training in UKM which he was awarded with Masters in Surgery in 2000. He was instrumental to set up the anorectal lab in Hospital Seremban and also develop laparoscopic colorectal training in Seremban Hospital. He is competent in endoanal ultrasound. He had further training in advanced laparoscopic training both in Queensland’s Australia (2006) and Bordeaux, France (2009). He is a member of both national and international bodies.
His research interest is in the field of laparoscopic GI surgery, Single port Surgery, Notes surgery, Robotic Surgery and Anorectal Surgery.

- He becomes the Head of Surgery for the state of Negeri Sembilan from 2006 till 2010.
- He went on to develop Seremban Hospital as a colorectal training center with the largest volume of laparoscopic colorectal resections in the country at that moment.
- He also actively promoted single port surgery in his hospital.
- He was an invited lecturer and examiner to IMU (International Medical University from 2000 till 2010.
- Dr. Paul has done presentations both locally and abroad in the field of laparoscopic colorectal surgery, deep vein thrombosis prevention in colorectal surgery and surgical pain management.
- He is an invited reviewer of Malaysian Medical Journal He is actively involved in promoting laparoscopic colorectal surgery in Malaysia including running silent mentor workshop.
- In 2005 he was awarded a scholarship to do his colorectal fellowship in USC, USA where he did both research and clinical work.
