Dr. Dawood is an extremely experienced oncologist. She graduated from Dubai Medical College in 1998 and undertook further training within Dubai Health Authority before attaining a Medical Oncology fellowship from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and the Susan Komen Breast Cancer fellowship from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA.
She attained her Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2008 and has over 100 papers to her credit including 34 peer review original articles, 15 review articles and nine book chapters. She is also an Editorial fellow of the New England Journal of Medicine and serves as a reviewer for multiple journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology. She currently serves as president of the UAE Cancer Congress that is held annually in Dubai and is Co-President of the Asia Pacific Breast Cancer Summit (ABCS).
