Dr. Yeap Chee Loong

Dr. Yeap Chee Loong is a Consultant General, Upper Gastrointestinal and Obesity Surgeon. Dr. Yeap stays up-to-date with the latest advances in his field. He is very much involved in surgical education and is a former Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

Dr. Yeap obtained his MBBS and Master of Surgery (M.Surg) degree from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. With a profound interest, he underwent advanced surgical training in Senior Clinical Fellowship in Advanced Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery at the world renowned Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He was then conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS), as well as the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

In his clinical practice, Dr. Yeap treats general surgical diseases with special interest in Minimally Invasive Techniques (Keyhole Surgery), Hernia Surgery as well as Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgery. He too specialises and provides laparoscopic procedure for obesity and diabetes/metabolic diseases (Bariatric and Metabolic/Diabetes Surgery)

Dr Yeap’s affable and personal character makes him approachable to individuals of all walks of life and his goal is to provide excellent surgical care for his patients with a focus on minimising post-operative pain and getting patients back to their daily routines as short a time as possible.
