About the Doctor / Professional
Prof. Roger Taylor is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of patients with brain tumours and lymphoma. Professor Taylor was born and educated in Swansea, and trained in Medicine at University College, Oxford and St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College. His oncology training was at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Royal London Hospital and Western General Hospital, Edinburgh.
He worked as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist in Leeds from 1987-2006, specialising mainly in the treatment of children with cancer. Professor Taylor returned to Wales in 2006, to work in the South West Wales Cancer Centre, Singleton Hospital, Swansea and the College of Medicine, Swansea University.
Professor Taylor provides specialist advice on proton radiotherapy in Wales, and currently is undertaking research in this field. He is author of many papers on the treatment of children with cancer, particularly brain tumours.View Contact Details
