About the Doctor / Professional
Dr. Aida graduated with her medical degree from the University of Leicester, UK in 2001, and completed her specialist Ophthalmology training from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2007. She subsequently completed a Cornea fellowship program from the Sydney Eye Hospital in 2015 working with 7 Cornea Consultants with vast experiences. She is also a member of the Academy of Medicine, Malaysia, and registered with the National Specialist Registry.
She was a Senior Lecturer at UKM Medical Centre from 2007-2018, and the Head of Cornea Unit at the same centre from 2015-2018. She was actively involved in the training of medical students and Master’s Ophthalmology trainees enrolled in the Masters program, as well as the Optometry graduates; involved in research and has published various articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
She provides cornea and external eye disease, cataract, and general ophthalmology services. She is trained in penetrating keratoplasty, DALK, and DSAEK.
