Prof. Dr. Gürhan Özcan

Prof. Dr. Gürhan Özcan completed his medical education from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Ankara (1971-1977) and did Plastic Surgery Residency from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Medicine, Departement of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (1977-1983).

He worked as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery in Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Medical Center, USA and was the Associate Professor in Gülhane Military Academy, Department of Plastic Surgery, Ankara. Later he moved to Başkent University, Ankara as Professor of Plastic Surgery and Founding Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine. 

Prof. Dr. Gürhan Özcan is currently working in Istanbul Aesthetic Center in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery.

His Administrative Activities include: 

• The Turkish National Delegate for the Asian-Pacific Section of IPRAS (1993, South Korea, Seoul)

• The Turkish National Delegate for the European Section of IPRAS (1997, Lisbon, Portugal)

• The Turkish National Delegate for International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Societies (IPRAS) (1995 Yokohama Japan, 1999 San Francisco USA, 2003 Sidney Australia, 2007 Berlin Germany)

• The Turkish National Delegate for European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) (1994-2005)

• Certification and Accreditation Committee of the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery: Member (2003-2005) , President (2005-2009)

• Turkish Society of Microsurgical Reconstructive Surgery, Executive Committee: Vice President (1994-1996)

• Turkish National Delegate for European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS) (2004-2008)
