About the Doctor / Professional
For Professor Dr. med. Knut Beitzel includes shoulder surgery in addition to the precise application of advanced surgical procedures, a profound understanding of the individual characteristics of the shoulder joint. This is because an operation is only necessary if there is structural damage in the shoulder area. His goal is to only perform operations if they are strictly indicated and have a clear prospect of success.
Should an operation be necessary, he performs all minimally invasive interventions using keyhole technology (arthroscopy) to stabilize the joint or to reconstruct torn tendons. In the case of advanced joint damage, he uses all forms of artificial joint replacement (endoprostheses). The respective procedure is individually tailored to our patients and used safely.
