About the Doctor / Professional
In the arena of otolaryngology I consider myself a general otolaryngologist with a strong interest in the subspecialty of Pediatric Otolaryngology. As far as I know I am the only Malaysian to have gone overseas to work in a paid job in a pediatric otolaryngology unit for hands-on experience, not in a mere “observer attachment” capacity.
The outstanding part of my experience in the University Malaya Medical Centre over four years was the development of expertise in the pediatric airway. I worked very closely with the Pediatricians of the University Malaya Medical Centre, in particular, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory Pediatric Medicine. I also work closely with Pediatricians involved in Gastroenterology and children with voice problems and delayed development.
