Dr. Preeti is an experienced and dynamic neurologist with further sub-specialization in stroke and other vascular disorders. She is an alumnus of prestigious medical institutes in India like All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chandigarh. She has further completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular disease from prestigious University of Texas, Houston, Texas in the USA.
She has won many distinctions and awards throughout her academic career. In more than a decade of clinical practice, she has managed a variety of neurological patients. She also has multiple national and international research papers and book chapters to her credit. Most recently she has been involved in developing FAST, which has now been taken up for a mass campaign in India to educate Hindi speaking public regarding recognition of acute signs of stroke.
She has also been involved in teaching postgraduate medical students and neurology residents; and nurses and the general public on various neurological disorders. She has carried out research and trials specifically in the field of epilepsy and stroke. She is also trained in Six Sigma in healthcare and has been actively involved in various quality improvement initiatives including six sigma ‘green belt’ projects in the hospitals she has worked with previously.
