Dr. Roekchai Tulyapronchote

Dr. Roekchai Tulyapronchote is a neurologist at Bumrungrad International Hospital, with a focus on Neuro Critical Care and Stroke, and a particular interest in Hyper-acute Stroke Treatment, Neuro-critical Care, and Endovascular Treatment of Stroke. In other words, he works with the brain at its most critical time, usually during stroke or in cases of a sudden onset of a coma or other brain trauma. His work involves a lot of investigation, research and testing because that’s at the core of the scientific method; you posit a theory and test it until you can figure out exactly what is going on with your patient and what you can do to create a positive outcome for them. 

Dr. Roekchai knew as soon as he started in Medical School that he wanted to specialize in Neurology, and that positive knowledge in what he wanted to do has never left him. Even today, he is excited by new developments and relishes any opportunity to learn more. When he has a difficult or challenging case, he sees it as an opportunity not only to do his best work, but also to learn everything he can from it. This work requires passion, and the ability to sustain a high level of dedication over a long period of time, because the people who put their lives in your hands need you to be more than 100% there with them every step of the way.
