About the Doctor / Professional
Since 1999 I have been dealing exclusively with surgery of the shoulder and elbow joints.
Inspired and guided by my practice partner Prof. Dr. P. Habermeyer, I learned the entire spectrum of shoulder surgery from the ground up and was able to deepen it over the years of my practical work.
In particular, the possibility of performing many operations arthroscopically motivates me to work on improving instruments or new techniques. This led to the publication of the Atlas Shoulder Arthroscopy in 2008. However, surgical techniques have to withstand the critical examination of their effectiveness and their benefits for the patient, which is why the scientific evaluation is a main focus of my work. For me, the well-being of the patient is always the focus of my actions, so that I only recommend an operation if the indication is correct
