She completed her training as a Specialist in Hematology and Hemotherapy at the University Hospital of La Princesa in Madrid, under the direction of Dr. Fern&aacute;ndez-Ra&ntilde;ada. She was responsible for the Clinical Hematology and Hematopoietic Transplantation Unit of the R&uacute;ber Clinic in Madrid from February 1997 to 2007. She is currently incharge of the Clinical Hematology and Hematopoietic Transplantation Service of the Quir&oacute;nsalud Madrid University Hospital.</p> <p>Dr. Carmen is a Patron of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation since its foundation and has also been an evaluator of the Marcos Fern&aacute;ndez Research Grants in the area of Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma on different occasions.</p> <p>She has also authored more than 20 articles published in international and national journals, more than 60 communications in international and national congresses and 10 book chapters. She has also been a speaker at meetings and congresses of the specialty on different occasions.</p> <p>Dr. Carmen has participated as a Researcher in more than 15 clinical trials, 9 of them as Principal Investigator. She is a member of the Clinical Trials Committee of the University Hospital of Quir&oacute;nsalud Madrid.
