Kliniken Schmieder Heidelberg is located on the edge of the old university town of Heidelberg, next to a beautiful nature reserve. Patients in all neurological phases can be treated since the clinic offers expertise across the entire spectrum of neurological rehabilitation, with a special focus on early rehabilitation (NRPS) and early mobilization and post-hospital curative treatment (NRPM).
The Heidelberg clinic specializes in acute inpatient neuro rehab and early neurological rehabilitation - such as traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and stroke rehabilitation - having several phase NRPI/S beds with ventilation and monitoring. The facility specializes in neurological therapy programs proven to restore vital functions, sensorimotor functions, coordination, and mental, cognitive, and psychological functions. Kliniken Schmieder also has extensive experience in neuro rehab for severely disabled patients. Outpatient neurorehabilitation is also available at the center, with the goal of reintegration into work and occupation, as well as regaining independence in daily activities at home, through the examination of work and professional skills, the training of mental and psychological functions, and the development of social and recreational skills.
The clinic has a ward for international patients with a special Lounge, that offers an exclusive atmosphere as well as culture-specific meals.
