Prof. Dr. med. habil. Andreas Matthias Halder is an internationally recognized expert in endoprosthetics with specialty in orthopedics and trauma surgery and additional qualifications in rheumatology & special orthopedic surgery. He is the Chief Physician of the Clinic for Operative Orthopedics and Medical Director of the Sana Kliniken Sommerfeld since 2001.
Prof. Dr. med. habil. Andreas Halder works in a leading position in numerous companies and committees. From 2009 to 2015 he was chairman of the guideline commission, from 2015 to 2018 treasurer and since 2019 vice-president of the German Society for Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery (DGOOC), of which he was elected President for 2022. Since 2020 he has been chairman of the guideline commission of the German Society for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (DGOU). He heads the Academy for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (AOUC) and is a member of the examination and training committee for orthopedics / trauma surgery of the Brandenburg State Medical Association. He was chairman of the Steering Committee for Quality Assurance Brandenburg for three electoral terms and is a member of the Orthopedics / Traumatology specialist group.
