Prof. Dr. med. Axel Linke Doctor is the Head of the Internal Medicine and Cardiology Department at the Heart Center Dresden University. He gained his long-standing medical experience at the Heart Center Leipzig, where he acquired his specialist competence in internal medicine and cardiology as well as the additional title "Interventional Cardiology". As a senior physician, he headed the cardiac catheterization laboratory, the sports center and the interdisciplinary department for structural heart diseases.
At the Department for Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Heart Center Dresden University, Professor Axel Linke and his team treat patients with cardiovascular and vascular diseases of all degrees of severity. In addition to his medical work, Professor Linke also took over the Professorship for Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the Faculty of Medicine of the TU Dresden, where he is intensively involved in research and teaching.
