He began his specialization in Neurosurgery in 1977 at the National Neurosurgery Department in Madrid under the supervision of Dr. Sixto Obrador, the internationally renowned neurosurgeon. After completing his Neurosurgery studies in Madrid, Dr. Oliver joined the newly set up Neurosurgery Department at the Sant Pau Hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
