Prof. Dr. med. Peter Kleine

Professor Dr. med. Peter Kleine is the Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Sana Hospital Offenbach, which offers diagnostics and therapy for diseases of the organs in the thorax. The main focus is on minimally invasive procedures (keyhole surgery) on the lung and pleura, VATS lobectomy for lung cancer, major surgical lung interventions such as cuff resections, multidisciplinary interventions as well as operations on the diaphragm and chest wall, and all procedures on the thymus and mediastinum. Professor Kleine has long-standing experience and covers the entire spectrum of thoracic surgery, including operations with heart-lung machines. Scientifically, Professor Kleine's areas of research are minimally invasive procedures including robotic surgery for lung cancer.
