On the Academic front, the hospital runs DNB courses in 26 specialties; M.Sc. and PhD programs in research; a Nursing College and Allied Health Sciences courses. In 1992, P. D. Hinduja Hospital was the first to initiate the Hospital Infection Society of India (HISI) in association with HIS-UK. The hospital has a strong research wing and continues to partner with leading International Institutes, latest being an arrangement with The Division of AIDS (NIAID, NIH), U.S.A, to establish a center of excellence for infectious disease research in India.
For its contribution to quality healthcare delivery, the hospital became the first hospital in India to be conferred the ‘Green and Clean Hospital Platinum Certificate’ by Bureau Veritas.
